Peru La Montaña

Introducing our new Single Origin, La Montaña.

"La Montaña," translating to "mountain" in Spanish, is a name that speaks directly to the high-altitude terrain and dramatic landscape of San Ignacio, Peru. It's ideal coffee-growing conditions, with its nutrient-rich volcanic soil, consistent rainfall, and elevations that bring out a coffee's full potential.

Surrounded by the Andes mountain range, San Ignacio is home to vibrant indigenous communities and a blend of traditional and modern farming practices. It's this connection to land and culture that helps define the character of La Montaña - a coffee rooted in place and process.

A note from Kōkako

We’re totally committed to sourcing certified Fairtrade and Organic coffee - that’s why you love us.

However, global shipping delays with our suppliers have disrupted the arrival of our next certified Fairtrade Organic single origin from Colombia — which is currently stuck in transit en route to Aotearoa. To read more about this please read our journal post.
